       CDT, which stands for compliance, Direction, and Takedown, has been proven by people from all walks of life to be the most direct, easy to learn and retain form of personal protection training in the self defense market. The best part of CDT is that all of the techniques taught are based on justifiable force laws that we are all governed by while addressing the general liabilities in regards to using physical force regardless of the situation.

        CDT’s founder and president Tom Patire has been in the media spotlight since 1989 in regards to being the leader in proper use of force training for the everyday person. Tom and CDT have appeared on Good Morning America, Inside Edition, A & E, Good Day New York, CNN Headline News, just to name a few.

        There are over 300 million people in the United States and less then 2 million train in an aspect of self defense, leaving a major void that needed to be addressed and then filled. Surveys to the masses uncovered the people can not commit to training due to time restraint and pre-existing physical conditions. This lead Tom Patire to develop an effective, realistic personal protection system that works and can be learned in a relatively short period of time. CDT’s mission statement is to avoid a physical confrontation at all costs BUT be prepared in advance if you should need to defend.

CDT CERTIFICATION COURSES

         CDT courses are offered in a variety of programs for children as well as adults. Each specific course is contoured to the individuals specific needs and is adapted to work for them regardless of body size, weight or limited physical ability. CDT bases all of it’s courses on the theory that “It is better to know something and not need it, then need it and not know it”.
